Flamingo Parade and CG Open House, Southwest Harbor, ME
Yesterday Rosy and I spent the day with some good friends in Southwest Harbor. SWH is the origin of those tacky plastic flamingo lawn ornaments and each year the town celebrates with a parade, craft fair and lots of other events, that are all hot pink in theme. We walked with our friends to the Flamingo Parade on Main Street and later went to see Papa at the Coast Guard Open House. He took Rosy on his boat and we even got to eat a quick lunch with him in the galley. After Papa went back to his boat, we went back with our friends and enjoyed a great BBQ together. We were exhausted when we finally got home last night, but we had such a fun time with everyone!
